With over three decades of experience in the travel industry, Greaves Travel is one of the leading specialists of bespoke private tours to India, with worldwide offices based in the UK, US, Canada and India.
Greaves Travel has had offices in India for nearly a decade and specialises purely on the Subcontinent, with Greaves India staff operating on a 24-hour basis. Greaves Travel is also the largest producer on flights to India for British Airways.
Greaves Travel commenced business in the UK in 1973 and was acquired by the Cambata Family in 1979. The founder and Chairman of Greaves Travel is Rustom Cambata, associated with aviation since 1947. From its inception Greaves Group specialised in travel to the Subcontinent. The company still remains under direct management of the family.
Managing Director of U.K. operations is Mehra Dalton, Rustom’s daughter, who played a key role in steering the company to international acclaim. She was largely responsible for guiding Greaves into the luxury market while simultaneously expanding its core business.
Tanya, Mehra’s daughter, takes responsibility for all PR and marketing activities for Greaves Travel and also runs her own PR business, Dalton Kakoty.
The Daltons are active supporters of sustainable tourism and in 1996, Mehra became a co-founder of Jaisalmer in Jeopardy (JiJ), a non-profit organization with the mission of preserving and protecting the architectural and historical heritage of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan.
